2nd Week

We had a great and busy second week with Hudson. We started out by having a whirlwind of visitors on Saturday, September 18th. Brittany, Brent, Grier and Ardynn were in Austin and came up to meet Hudson--which was such a treat to get to see them. Grier had been super excited to meet Baby Hudson for quite some time, but unfortunately she got sick and couldn't come inside to meet him. It broke my heart! We gave her a balloon, some bracelets and stickers from baby Hudson, and hopefully she'll get to meet him soon in San Angelo. Spence, Kristen, Will and Kynlee also were in town to meet Hudson and it was great to see them--we miss them since they have moved to New Braunfels. Nicole also came over as well as my uncle Kyle, aunt Brenda and cousins: Jordan, Kelsey and Garrett. Jon's mom and grandma came for a few hours as well so Grandma Foreman could meet her newest great grandchild. Sadly, my mom headed back home to San Angelo on Saturday. I was so sad to see her go after the wonderful week we had together. After all the company left Saturday, we went over to Taryn and Seth's to watch some football and hang with more friends.

On Sunday, Vanessa had come in town from Ft. Worth to meet Hudson and we got to spend a lot of time hanging out. It was so great to spend time with her...I miss her tons since she and Chad moved to Ft. Worth. Taryn came over too and the three of us even got out for some girl time at Target while Jon stayed home with Hudson. Kasey, Chad and Ainsley also came on Sunday to meet our man. Needless to say, we were thrilled with some of our favorite peeps coming to meet our baby, but it was quite the busy weekend!

Monday we took Hudson to have his newborn pictures taken and afterward, we had his first lunch outing to Bumdoodlers.

He is still eating well and his little belly is definitely growing and I had to snap some precious pics you can see below of his belly and bird legs.

This week was Jon's second week at home from work and it was nice to just be the three of us. We went on some walks, ran some errands, watched some TV, rested, and most of all loved on Mr. Hudson.

Wednesday, Courtney and Roger came over and brought us dinner and it was great to see them. They of course had to bring some more Aggie gear to keep the aggie vs. longhorn count even for Hudson's things :)

Thursday was another big day as we had the house cleaned, the photographer back to take more pics and we had an afternoon visit from Aunt Beth and an evening visit from Aunt Brenda. Both of them were in Austin for work so we were so happy to see them and for them to get to meet Hudson.

On Friday, we took Hudson for his two week check up and he was doing great! We also had to take him to get his hearing tested again and he passed that just fine. After our appts, we picked up lunch and took him to the park for his first picnic. It has been so beautiful outside lately that we have been trying to get out of the house as much as we can. When we got home, we did his first tummy time and he did pretty well! His hair is getting longer and it can be messy and gets a cute bed head look in the back after laying down...see a couple pics below. Friday evening Angela and Mikel made a great dinner for us and then Aunt JuJu got to town to spend the whole next week with us!

It was so amazing to have 2+ weeks with Jon home from work....such awesome bonding time for our new family.

(FYI: I'm trying to figure out how to post as many pics as I can on each row, but it keeps doing strange things, so sorry for the weird layout below....I'll figure it out sooner or later!)
