Couples Baby Shower in Boerne

This past weekend, we headed to Boerne for our couples shower at Jon's parent's house. His Aunt Debbie, Aunt Terry, Aunt Lynette, Cousins Rebecca and Kelley, niece Bailee and sister Marna were some amazing hostesses! We had a fantastic get together with our family and friends and really appreciate everyone coming to celebrate and hang out with us! Jon's sister and niece made the cake and for their first time to work with fondant, they did an awesome job! We were all so impressed with their handiwork and the cake tasted great. We enjoyed getting to spend a couple nights with his parents and have some catching up time. And again, the thoughtfulness of our friends and family for Hudson is so very appreciated by us....thank you everyone for your gifts to Hudson. He is going to be one spoiled little dude! Sunday was quite the marathon day though....we headed home early in the morning so I could get to work and then right after work we headed over to Amanda and Ryan's to help celebrate Bryson's 2nd birthday. Needless to say, we've had a really fun and event-filled month of June, and this momma-to-be is pooped! I'm ready to relax and catch up on rest for a couple days. Then we'll get ready to paint Hudson's room this weekend!

We'll miss you Campbell Family!

Spence, Kristen, Will and Kynlee will soon be moving to New Braunfels because Spence got a great promotion. We are excited for them, but so sad to see them go. Since we missed their going away party when we were in Corpus Christi, we went over to their house last week for dinner and got to have a good night catching up with them. Will and Kynlee are so darn cute and getting so big. I'm sad they won't be right around the corner for Hudson to play with, but New Braunfels isn't too far away, so we aren't worried about losing touch. Good luck to the Campbell Family! We love you guys so much!!

Baby Shower in San Angelo

On father's day weekend we headed home to San Angelo for my first baby shower. It was at Brittany's house and the hostesses were my sister, Brittany, my aunt Beth, aunt Retta, Brittany's mom Kathy, and my mom's friend Dolores. It was SUCH a cute shower and the girls really outdid themselves with the decorations and food. There were so many adorable little details. We had a great showing of friends and family and Jon and I are SO appreciative of everyone's generosity, support and love for our Baby Hudson. Grier was a great helper when it came time to opening gifts and got super excited when I received a few books and toys for Hudson that she has. It was a jam packed weekend with some time spent with mom and Gene, my grandparents, Jon's parents, my dad and Susan, aunts/uncles/cousins, and lots of friends. By the time we got home on Sunday night, we were totally beat. Last minute we decided not to bring Kaiser with us to avoid the stress of having to tote him around and make sure he was fine all weekend, and so our friends, Dave and Christina watched him and we are very appreciative of them for doing that! It was fun to get home Sunday night and show Jon all of the sweet gifts that Hudson got. I can't help myself and had to semi-organize them the best I could for the time being, so instead of hitting the sack immediately like I should have, I had to nest for awhile in his room :)
Overall, it was a wonderful trip home. THANK YOU to our wonderful friends and family for helping us get ready for our sweet baby boy. We love and appreciate you all SO much!!
