A Few Pics from Hudson's Newborn Photoshoot

Last week on Monday, September 20th, we took Hudson to have his newborn pictures taken. We really liked the photographer and she even offered to come out to our house later in the week to catch a few more shots of him since he started to get fussy towards the end of the shoot. Here are a few of her pictures from Monday's shoot at her studio:

First Doctor's Appointment

We took Hudson for his first Doctor's appointment on Tuesday, September 14th. He did so great! He had weighed 7 lbs 4 oz at birth. When we left the hospital he weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. Then at his first appointment, he had already gained a tad and was up to 6 lbs 15 oz. Our Dr. was super happy about this! Dr. S said everything with our little man was looking great, but she was a tiny concerned that he may have some jaundice, so she wanted to do bloodwork to check his bilirubin levels. He got his little heal pricked and unfortunately not too much blood was coming out, so it took the nurse awhile to get enough blood, and they had to prick him a second time. Shu Shu was a trooper though and she held him while he cried his little heart out. We really like Dr. S and know she will be a great pediatrician for Hudson.

Here are the rest of his stats from the first appt:

Weight: 6lb 15oz (25th percentile)

Height: 19 1/4" (25th percentile)

Head Circumference: 35 1/2 cm (45th percentile)

After our appointment, we went upstairs to my OB's office so we could introduce Hudson to our nurse Katie. We loved Katie and wanted to make sure she got to meet him!

That afternoon we got a call from the doc's office and all was good with his bilirubin levels, so we did not have to do any phototherapy! Yea!

Hey Friends and Family!

We've been enjoying the past 5 days with our new bundle of joy. Hudson is absolutely amazing and we are so appreciative to be blessed with him. We are loving being parents and our hearts completely melt when we look at him.

I know you've been anxious to see more pictures of our new little man and I've been attempting to send some out everyday for the past 3 days and for those of you that are parents you can understand how fast the first days at home with a newborn go by. Hudson was born at 2:20pm on Friday, September 10th. He weighed 7lb 4oz and was 20 inches long. We were able to come home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon, and my mom is spending the first week with us which has been awesome.

We had Hudson's first Dr. Appt yesterday and he is doing great. He weighed 7lb 4oz at birth and when we left the hospital he weighed 6lb 13oz. At his appt yesterday, he is now up to 6lb 15 oz and our Dr. was VERY happy about that! Things are going great with nursing and he's been a good sleeper so far. We went on our first walk yesterday and got out to Babies R Us today. We had some wonderful family and friends come visit us at the hospital and we've even had some visitors at home already.

We appreciate all of the love, support, thouhts and prayers from all of you for a speedy and smooth delivery....which we had.

We could not be happier right now and hope you get to meet our amazing and perfect son soon!

Hudson Scott Lamb!

Our beautiful baby boy was born on

Friday, September 10th, 2010 at 2:20pm.

He weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches long.

We were blessed to have a smooth labor and delivery experience and were so appreciative of our doctor and all the wonderful nurses. As I mentioned in the last post, my dad and sister were already in town, and then on Friday, my mom, Jon's parents and Heath all came to town. I was able to see my mom right before my epidural and had planned to have her come back in the room after the epidural, but things progressed so quickly that it was time to push before we realized it! Then next thing you know, he was here!

I bought a traditional baby book for Hudson, but I really plan on using the blog as more of a memory keeper for him and I'm going to print it into a book, so I am going to post lots of pics and write lots of commentary (if I can find the time to do so). I want to remember all of these special memories and moments

 with our amazing son.

We are so in love and already can't believe how amazing it is to be parents. We've never been happier and cannot imagine our life without him. Sometimes I just get lost gazing at him and all of his perfect features and it melts my heart. He truly is a miracle and the most fantastic blessing we could have ever imagined.

We are giving thanks to having him in our life each and every day and look forward to a lifetime of special memories with our new son Hudson.
