Last weekend was the Austin American Statesman Capitol 10K and we've decided to start a family tradition. Last year, my mom, Gene and sister came to town and we all did the 10K together. Technically, that was Hudson's first race since I was pregnant with him at the time. This year my sister came to town for the weekend and on Sunday morning she and I walked with Hudson in the jogging stroller while Jon, Dave and John ran. Not everyone dresses up for this race, but a ton of people do. Julie and I made matching tank tops that said "Sweaty Sisters" on the back and we gave ourselves some top side ponytails with lovely blue eyeshadow...we were kinda going for the 80's look. The guys went for some hippie attire. I wasn't quite sure how Hudson would do sitting in his stroller for 6 miles, but overall it turned out great! He was happy for a couple of miles and then when he got fussy we stopped for a few minutes to give him a bottle. We continued on for a short bit and then he wanted out so I put him in the baby bjorn for about a mile. After having a little more bottle, he fell asleep for the last couple of miles. We had such a great time and it was so fun to be out there with so many other people. I think next year we may add tutu's to our attire!

Dave, Jon and John Hartnett looking pretty hilarious!

"Sweaty Sisters" and our little Punkin' Pie!
My favorite people in the world...
