My sister’s due date is actually tomorrow, December 8th, but back in October, her doctor put her on bed rest. I think we all had an instinct that Miss Finleigh would make her arrival sometime during the month of November, so we were kind of on stand bye. My plan was to load up and hit the road as soon as she called so we could try and get there in time for Finleigh’s arrival. On the 18th of November, Jon, Hudson and I had just hit the road to drive to San Angelo for Nicole’s bridal showers. We were about 30 minutes outside of Austin when I got a text from Julie that said “I think my water just broke….seriously” I immediately called her and said “Are you serious?” and she said, well yes….that’s why I put seriously on the text! I told Jon to pull over and turn around because we were changing our destination to Corpus. Of course Nicole completely understood and was excited for us to go. We made it to Julie and Jarrett’s apartment around 10:30 and I dropped off Jon and Hudson and then I went up to the hospital. The nurse predicted that Julie would have her around 8 or 9 am but Finleigh decided to hop on the fast track and made her debut at 3:16 a.m.!
Welcome Finleigh Elizabeth Elizabeth! It is so nice to finally meet this sweet girl and I am so happy for my precious sister and her hubby. My sister has literally wanted to be a mother since she was a toddler herself, so it is so exciting to finally get to see her dream come true. They are going to be great parents and we are a proud Aunt and Uncle! (And Hudson is pumped to have a cousin so close in age!)
