My 30th birthday was last Wednesday...I can't believe I'm already 30! I'm not upset about it--I just can't believe I'm 30. Anyways, I was spoiled all last week by my sweet husband and had lots of fun birthday things going on.
On Tuesday my mom came to town and she and Hudson and I had lunch at Hula Hut which is one of my mom's favorites--and mine too! Then that evening Jon and I had planned a night away while my mom spent the night and babysat Hudson which was so awesome of her to do. We had dinner at Hudson's on the Bend which was AMAZING! Seriously, we loved the food and it was a great date. Kinda funny though...towards the end of dinner, our waiter came to our table and sprinkled some confetti down in the shape of a "1" and told us that he heard it was our first anniversary and he hoped we were having a good one. Well, he obviously had the wrong table, but we couldn't bring ourselves to correct him because he was so sweet, so we just played along with it ;)
Then we had bought a Groupon to stay at Vintage Villas that night which was right down the road from the restaurant and is on Lake Travis. It was so nice to have a great date night away and we really appreciate my mom coming to town to babysit Hudson. Then on Wedesday, Jon took the day off work and we slept in at our hotel, had lunch at Chuy's and did some shopping before heading home. That night Jon made yummy fish taco's and my mom made an awesome cake and Taryn came over to hang with us. It was a fantastic day!! (As if that all wasn't enough, we had a super fun birthday party this past Saturday...will post about it soon).
