Hudson turned 4 months old on January 10th and we had his 4 month well check on January 12th.
Here are some of the things Hudson has been up to during Dec/Jan:
- Super super close to rolling over from his back to his tummy and attempts it all the time
- Really starting to play with some of his toys and loves this VTech toy that Jon's parents gave him with a little steering wheel. He lights up and grins really big when you show him that toy
- He had a rash on his tummy, neck and arms that I took him in for a few weeks ago and it cleared up after a few days but we are thinking he might just have some pretty sensitive skin
- He didn't lose too much of his newborn hair but he did lose some and it is starting to grow back now and at times it looks blonde and at other times it looks strawberry blonde
- We are finally at the stage of being able to hold him on our hip because his head control is great. It makes it so much easier to be able to hold him that way when trying to get a few things done at the house.
- Making new noises all the time and laughing more and more
- Starting to have to put bibs on him throughout the day because he's constantly drooling and slobbering
- Starting to take anywhere from 4-8 oz at a time when he gets a bottle
- I'm still nursing and pumping at work to send bottles to daycare and to leave with Jon
- Blowing rasberries with his tongue
- Doesn't like to be in his swing anymore but still will hang out for short amounts of time in his bouncy seat while we are cooking or getting dressed
- He was going to sleep around 8 or 9p and waking up around 2 or 3am to eat and then again anywhere from 6 to 8am for the day. (This has drastically improved though after some sleep training we've been doing this past week and he's now going to sleep around 8pm and waking up around 5 or 6am to eat once and then will go back to sleep until 7 or 8am. Yay Hudson!!)
- Taking about 2 or 3 naps each day that last anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours each
- Using his paci less and less each day (which is fine with me) and instead starting to suck on his thumb and hand all the time
- He is keeping us smiling every day and is growing and changing constantly. We just love him to pieces!
Here are some pictures on his 4 month birthday
We went to see Dr. S on We. Jan. 12th for Hudson's 4 month well check and he's doing great! Here are his stats:
- Weight: 13 lbs 12 1/2 oz. (25th percentile)
- Height: 24 inches (10th percentile)
- Head Circumference: 43 cm (90th percentile!!)
Our boy's noggin is growing at such a fast pace so it can keep up with that super smart growing brain of his! :)

So fun!!! He's precious! Carter had such sensitive skin, so if Hudson ends up having rashes and dry patches, email me and we'll talk. Hope not though! Thankfully, now it's so much better!
