Yesterday we took Hudson to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls and it was awesome! I’ve been excited about going to this place now that we have a little one because lots of our friends have taken there kiddos there in the past and loved it. In the spring you can pick strawberries and blackberries and in the fall they have pumpkins, a maze through the corn field, petting zoo, horse rides, wildflowers to pick, home-made pumpkin ice cream, etc. It was about an hour drive from our house and we gave ourselves enough time to look at the goats, pick out some pumpkins, get some home-made ice cream and pick some wildflowers. It was perfect and so much fun. I bet Hudson will really have fun next year when he’s a little bigger.
Feeding the goats with Dad. They were walking up a tree!
After visiting the goats, we were on a hunt to find a good pumpkin for Hudson. So first we checked out these light orange pumpkins…and he would not let go of these glitter wand/sticks that I got from my sister. (She uses them at the children’s hospital with the kiddos and they are a huge hit. Now I understand why….Hudson loved them and was not too concerned with the pumpkins.)
Next we found some bigger, bright orange pumpkins by the corn field.
And then we moved onto some multi-colored mini-pumpkins. That’s when he started to get a little more into the pumpkin search….
After the mini-pumpkins, we finally found the right patch of pumpkins that got him excited.
Hudson with his loot (and you can tell he’s a little pooped from his great pumpkin search!)
Before heading home, we had just enough time to pick some wildflowers which was fun for me and made me very happy!
What a very happy family afternoon!
