Come on Hudson...We are Ready!

Well, we are getting down to the home stretch, and I'll tell you what...I am ready. This past week, I feel like I've come to a whole new level of readiness. I've tried this entire pregnancy (especially the last half of it) to be appreciative of feeling good and having what I think has been a smooth go at things. I have not wanted to be the pregnant girl that is always complaining about being pregnant. I have felt great most of the summer and have enjoyed being pregnant. But, now that we are down to the end I am okay admitting that I am uncomfortable and ready for him to come. Sleeping the past few nights has started to become hard for me (and thank goodness that it hasn't been difficult until now). My feet and hands have just now started to swell this past week and I'm having more and more braxton hicks contractions and feeling lots of tightness in my belly. My energy level is running super low and I feel like I've been hit by a train. Everyone keeps telling me to rest as much as I can but of course I am a busy body and have to try harder to make myself just take it easy.

We'll go back to the doctor this coming Wednesday, September 1st to get a check on things and we might discuss the possibility of inducing after I've hit 39 weeks (which is Sept 4th). At our appointment on August 18th, she did an ultrasound and estimated that his weight was 6lb 14oz.

We've got bags packed and we are as ready as we can be. It's so exciting to think about how awesome it will be to hold him for the first time and to get to meet him.

We'll keep you posted, but I have a gut instinct that we won't have to induce and he'll come on his own sometime in the next 2 weeks.
