Hudson Scott in 3D

On July 1st, we went and had a 3D/4D ultrasound done so we could see some good pics of our baby boy. I just realized that I emailed pictures to family and friends but I never posted them on the blog. We had a great experience and are so glad we did it. We had about a 15-20 minute ultrasound and got a CD with about 40 pictures and a DVD of the whole ultrasound which will be so cool to show him someday. They also were streaming online and my mom was able to log on and watch the ultrasound from her computer in San Angelo at the same time it was happening. There was a microphone in the room, so she could even hear all of our "oohs and ahhs!" I know the cost of going to places like this can vary, but we feel like we found a decent price and it was 99 bucks well spent. If you are considering going to a 3D/4D place, we both would recommend doing it. I think the key is waiting until you are far enough along so your baby actually has some fat on their face and you will be able to see more features. They recommended anywhere between 26 and 34 weeks, so we went when I was 30 weeks. During the ultrasound, we got to see him yawn several times and were able to see his chest moving up and down as he was breathing. It was very cool. It's been fun to have these pictures of him to look at everyday and now we just cannot wait to meet him in person!!

(Two comments: it is not hair that you are seeing along the forehead...it is just a shadow. For a minute we thought it was hair! And also, his nose is smooshed in most of the pics because he was snuggling up really close to me and didn't want to move!)

To the right of his face the thing in a loop is the umbilical cord.

His right foot is totally jammed into his left eye! Flexible little guy!

Another pic of his foot in his eye...

Look at those cute lips, cheeks and sweet chin!
