Last weekend Julie, Mom and Gene came to town and we all ran/walked in the Statesman Capitol 10K together. This Fall, Mom, Julie and I committed to do this race together. My original intent was to start running and be able to run the whole 6 miles. After finding out I was pregnant, I decided it wasn't the right time to start running since I've never been much of a runner. So we ended up doing some jogging during the race, but mostly power walked. A lot of people dress up in silly costumes for this race, so you can see that Jon and our friend Dave wore some sweet wigs. They ran the whole time and I was impressed because I'm sure those wigs were hot and nasty feeling!! We had a great time and were so glad that they all came to town for the weekend. Our baby boy also got his first UT and A&M outfits...they are super cute! After the race we had lunch at Hula Hut (yum yum) and then Jon, Julie and I went to a cool baby store and started doing some hands-on learning about strollers and car seats. We had big plans for pedicures, but we were all so exhausted we took it easy and then Julie and I spent some more time looking for Spencer and hanging up more signs.
Spencer Update: We still haven't had our favorite fat cat come home yet, but we are staying hopeful and positive. I think he's either hiding and roaming our neighborhood, or possibly someone has taken him into their home thinking he is a stray cat. I just hope he is safe and okay, and pray that he will use his cat instincts to come to us. We love and miss him so much.

After the race (and he's still got the wig on!)
