If you know me, you know that I'm not much of a jogger. I do love going to the gym and taking body pump and body flow class, but when it comes to running, I'm not the biggest fan. However, my hubby and some our our guy friends are training to run the 1/2 Marathon in Austin this February. And they have kind of inspired me to set a goal to run the Statesman Capitol 10K in April. I did that race once before in college and it was a great experience for me. My mom, sister and I have been talking about exercising and wanting to be healthy, but we all live in different cities, so we don't have that in-person support to offer each other. So, I thought that if we all committed to run this race in April, we would have a common goal to each be working on, and we could support each other and hold each other accountable to reach our goal. So, they both said yes, and in the meantime, I've actually talked to a few more peeps that want to join. I think Taryn, Laura and my cousin Ashley are also going to do it. So, today I was proud to jog a mile on the treadmill after Body Pump. It's a start at least. (I recognize that doesn't sound like much at all, but for me it's a start). If any of you are interested in joining in with us, let me know! Here are some links to the info..
