A Great Christmas...

We spent this year's Christmas in San Angelo with my family. We only went home for 4 days, but we really had a great time hanging out with my Mom and Gene, some of my best friends, my Dad and Susan, and my aunts/uncles/cousins on my Mom's side. We saw a couple movies while we were home and liked them both a lot: Invictus and Avatar. (I love all of the great movies that come out around the holidays!) We also got some snow for just a bit on Christmas Eve. Nothing stuck to the ground, but I'm your typical Texan who gets super excited when I see even the faintest bit of snow! Christmas day we got to spend some time at Dad's for breakfast, then we went to mom's for a bit and then ended the afternoon at Aunt Retta's. We came home Christmas night because I had to work on Saturday, and then Saturday Jon went to Boerne to spend the day with his family. I was able to spend the afternoon and evening at my Aunt Angela's house with my Dad's side of the family. AND, my sister was able to come to Austin for that, which was great! I missed not seeing her in San Angelo for Christmas! She and Jarrett had to stay in Corpus because he had to work. A cool thing for them though was that my grandparents are renting a condo in Port Aransas for a month and so Mimi and Papa went to Julie and Jarrett's on Christmas day....so I was very happy the four of them got to hang out! I had a great time at Angela's and we had a family tennis tournament on the Wii which was fun. I also love spending time with cutie pie Ainsley who has recently started some walking!

It was a great Christmas and we love our family so much and were so glad to be able to get to see most of them. Even though I couldn't go, I'm really glad Jon was able to go see him family for a day! (Oh, and P.S. I am doing this post on our Christmas present to each other....an awesome new laptop! I love being able to work on my blog while sitting in bed!!)

Geez! My mom's side of the family is so dang tall! I am the oldest cousin and the shortest. Clayton is the youngest cousin to the right of me and he's already passed me up. And you can tell that my cousin Samantha's little son Weston who is 3 1/2 on the far left is going to be super tall too! I feel like such a midget around them all, but I love my tall cousins. They are all growing up so fast, I can't believe it.

In Austin at Aunt Angela's house. My Dad working on Garrett's erector set.

Ainsley entranced by her new toy from Julie. (This is her second one...she loved the first so much that she broke it)
