What we've been up to

The past couple weeks have been pretty non-eventful, but nice. I love that things are growing and blooming in our yard and garden finally...all the rain we have been getting has definitely helped! These are some of my favorite months of the year! Lately we've just been doing the normal things we like to do...renting movies, cooking yummy dinners (check out Jon's chicken pot pie below). I've started reading the Twilight series and am enjoying it. Spending time with our wonderful friends is always great. We tried a neat Cajun place with some friends last weekend, got to catch up with Jon's high school pal, Clayton and his girlfriend Lei last Saturday, had a yummy steak dinner at the Hartnetts, I went to a fun girls' night at Kristen's, and Jon went camping and canoeing with his dad a couple days ago. But when you go-go-go like that you are bound to get pretty tired. So last night we took it easy and were asleep by 10! On a more serious note, our friend Cindy is having a C-Section today. She was not due until June 26th, but had to get admitted to the hospital on Friday because she has toxemia. All should be well with her and Baby Brooklyn, but please keep the Gaswint family in your thoughts and prayers. I will give an update on Cindy and the baby when I hear more...

Pretty flowers Jon brought home for me

What a man! Doesn't that chicken pot pie look yummy?!

Growing plants in the front garden

Our Jasmine plant in full bloom...and it has the sweetest smell!
