Before we found out we were pregnant, we were planning to take a trip this Spring maybe to Europe. We've been wanting to do that for the past couple years but to do it right would need to take 2-3 weeks off work which hasn't been possible. So we thought let's just pick one country in Europe and go there for a week this Spring. We were starting our research when we found out we were pregnant. We could still go to Europe, but decided to save a few vacation days and go somewhere in the U.S. We thought about D.C., San Diego, San Francisco, or another cool city we've never seen. Neither one of us seemed overly excited though when talking about it. A couple weeks ago we were at our favorite little mexican food place and I was enjoying a virgin pina colada which made me think of the beach and a tropical vacation. At that moment, I knew a tropical trip was the way to go! Luckily, Jon was on board too and liked the idea of relaxing on the beach, reading books, snorkeling, and soaking in the rays--well that last one is really my desire more than his...his pale self doesn't enjoy the sun as much as I do :)
So we just booked our trip last night to go to Cozumel in May for 5 days! We CAN'T wait for our pre-baby trip, or as I've heard some people call them, our "Baby-Moon"
Enjoy! We did LA & San Diego for a few days last summer and I'm so glad we did.
ReplyDeleteSuper fun!!! We got lucky and Brody's then job had a work trip/vacation right around me being 4/5 months preggo. It was perfect timing and free! Put sunscreen on your belly button if it's popped out by then!:)
ReplyDeletenice!!!!... speaking from the experience of NOT going on a big pre-baby trip, i'd say you're making the RIGHT decision!! ;o)
